Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using our Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.

  • Configuration profile used for the query
  • Query result (allowed or blocked)

We do not collect or store IP addresses associated with individual DNS queries in our permanent logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

Note: We do not use your DNS query data for advertising purposes or sell it to third parties.

4. DNS Query Processing

As a DNS filtering service, we process DNS queries to help you block unwanted content. Here's how we handle this sensitive data:

Query Processing

When you configure your devices to use WebShield, DNS queries are sent to our servers through DNS-over-HTTPS or DNS-over-TLS. These queries contain the domain names you're attempting to access.

Temporary Processing

We temporarily process each query to determine if it should be allowed or blocked based on:

  • The configuration profile being used
  • Category classification of the domain
  • Your schedule settings
  • Any security threats associated with the domain

Logging Practices

We maintain limited logs of DNS queries that include:

  • Domain name requested
  • Configuration profile identifier
  • Timestamp
  • Action taken (allowed or blocked)

We retain individual query logs for 30 days, after which they are aggregated into statistical data and individual queries are purged. We use this data to improve our service, troubleshoot issues, and provide usage statistics in your dashboard.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, and other businesses that perform services on our behalf, such as payment gateway, hosting, and email delivery. These service providers are contractually prohibited from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to us.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or uses of your information.

With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties when we have your consent to do so.

Aggregated Data

We may share aggregated, anonymized data that does not identify individual users for various purposes, including improving our Service and understanding usage patterns.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
  • Regular security assessments and testing
